Awtar Kaur Khalsa has been living, studying, and teaching in Kundalini Yoga ashrams since 1972. She sat at the feet of Yogi Bhajan with a notebook, timer, and camera, prompting him to remark, "She has perfect notes." She is a senior teacher trainer and has taught throughout the United States and overseas. Awtar uses generous doses of humor to inspire her students to expand, both in group and private classes. Awtar has been married 30 years and her teenaged daughter is also a Kundalini Yoga teacher. She is the director of The Kundalini Yoga Center in San Francisco. |

Jiwan Shakti Kaur found Kundalini Yoga in 2002 -- when searching for new ways to overcome the stress of working in Technical Support -- and has been practicing ever since. She received her Level I Teacher Certification in 2006 from the Awareness Center in Pasadena, CA. Jiwan Shakti recently began teaching at the Guru Ram Das Ashram in February. With a focus on moving energy and creating space, her classes tend to be vigorous and clearing. Also a musician and DJ, she enjoys integrating creative music and sound with traditional Kundalini Yoga Mantra in her classes. |

Siri Vedya Singh has been teaching Kundalini Yoga since 1977. From 1979 through he served as the Director of the San Francisco Kundalini Yoga Center, and has been teaching the Saturday morning class at the center for the last 15 years. A student of Yogi Bhajan for nearly 30 years, Siri Vedya takes great delight in sharing stories and anecdotes taught by the Master of Kundalini Yoga. Siri Vedya's classes include a short talk, live guitar music, and the deep intention to help each of his students cultivate their own ability to uplift and strengthen themselves. |

Bhagvati Kaur began studying Kundalini Yoga in Hamburg, Germany, more than six years ago. She completed teacher training in Berkeley, CA in June 2006. Bhagvati has experienced Kundalini Yoga as a complete lifestyle that enables her to live consciously and happy. She teaches because of her desire to share this great science, and to support others as they connect with the wisdom of their inner healer. She teaches at The James Howell Studio in San Francisco, as well. |
| Kim Iglinsky (Ravijeet Kaur) began to study Kundalini yoga eight years ago as a way to cope with the stress of working as a fashion model in New York City. She moved to the Bay area and completed Level 1 teacher training, and began teaching in 2004. Kim's classes incorporate a breath sequence, a specific yoga set, and a meditation, often using chanting. She especially enjoys the energy and happiness that her practice brings. Ravijeet Kaur means: the bright, positive Princess/Lioness, who walks with grace and power throughout her life, who is radiant with God's light and is blessed with victory over all negativity. | |
| Jai Gopal Kaur has been practicing Kundalini yoga since 1996 and teaching it since 2000. She enrolled in teacher training in Los Angeles after yoga helped her to overcome a medical healing crisis in 1998. Holding a nurturing and healing space for her students, Jai Gopal themes her classes and incorporates supporting music, as well as inspiring prose and the healing vibration of the gong. She has taught in Los Angeles, Thailand, and Japan. She is currently the Online Editorial Director for Yoga Journal and Vegetarian Times magazines. | |
