LEARN TO ELEVATE YOURSELF & OTHERS WITH KUNDALINI YOGA as taught by Yogi Bhajan®

This teacher training program meets at the Kundalini Yoga Center, a yoga ashram since 1975, over the course of 40 days. This quote from Awtar’s Yogi Bhajan notes inspires the innovative San Francisco immersion schedule: “When the body is being eaten by disease it will recuperate itself if no eating after 4 PM.  For mind do not get up after 4 AM.  No mental trouble whatsoever.” (9/17/84)

In the ambrosial hours trainees will rise at 4 to do sadhana with live music provided by Sat Purkh Kaur & Abhai Raj Singh. By participating every day trainees will complete the requirements for a 40-day meditation and kriya with the support of the group energy. After breakfast there will be 3.5 hours of yoga, lecture and group processes. Eat a catered vegetarian lunch 11:30-12:30 and regroup for check-in, practicum and instruction until 3:30. Then a yogic dinner & the option of no eating after 4 PM to let the body recuperate itself. In addition to the late afternoons there will be one or two days off each week with optional field trips to Gurdwara with Prabhu Nam Kaur and Yuba City Nagar Kirtan. The Aquarian Teacher Certification program is open both to yoga students ready to become teachers and those who wish to immerse themselves in the science of Kundalini Yoga. naddition to fostering personal transformation, this program supports activists intent on dismantling racism, homophobia and all forms of oppression. The course presents the theory of the ancient art along with the opportunity to experience it first hand.

ABOUT YOGI BHAJAN

Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga, arrived in the United States in 1969 with a stated purpose: “I have come to create teachers, not to gather disciples.” For over 30 years, he traveled internationally teaching Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness. In 1969 Yogi Bhajan founded 3HO–the Happy, Healthy, Holy Organization, based on his first principle “Happiness is your birthright.” Through the Aquarian Teacher program, Yogi Bhajan has trained thousands of KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Teachers. In 1994, the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA) was formed to spread these teachings through the united efforts of Kundalini Yoga teachers worldwide.

IF YOU WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING, READ ABOUT IT. IF YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND IT, WRITE ABOUT IT. IF YOU WANT TO MASTER IT, TEACH IT.
